Food for Rabbit and Small Pets

Adequate nutrition for small animals like rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs is as important as it is for other pets. Majority of rabbit and guinea pig diet consists of lots of hay, leafy vegetables and a small amount of pellets. It’s recommended that guinea pig food pellets and rabbit food pellets are provided in small amounts and mixed with other food as they end up eating only their favourite items and leave behind the rest. As for hamster food, they can be picky if offered muesli style mix or loose seed mix by consuming the sugary part and leaving the nutritious bit. It’s important to keep a check on their nutritional needs to maintain their overall health and development.
